  Rwanda and Belgium have announced the restoration of diplomatic relations after an 18‑month freeze, confirming that their embassies in Kigali and Brussels will reopen later in 2025. The decision, made public in September 2025, follows a Qatar‑facilitated reconciliation meeting in Doha in June 2025.
